Rocket Kids

On Friday 8th December Nick Corston from STEAM Co. visited the school.  He spoke in assembly about how important subjects such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths are, and also about how we must always remember to use our imaginations and creativity.  He then taught all the children from Year 1 to Year 6 how to build an air powered rocket from two sheets of A4 paper and some tape, before launching them on the playground.  Some rockets went all the way across the field!  He finished his session by launching a dynamite powered rocket over 150 metres into the sky!  We all had a brilliant day and it was great to see so many parent come along to support the children - thank you all very much indeed for joining us.  It was a very cold day but everyone had great fun and shared a very memorable experience.
